What you'll do The Cloud System Administrator focuses on leading the DonorDirect Azure cloud services team. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing all activities related to the design, implementation, support, and maintenance of DonorDirect technology infrastructure and quality assurance services, including client-hosted cloud networks, servers, storage, services, and DonorDirect products. Other responsibilities include enhanced technical support for clients, management of initial product installs, and pre-sales support for cloud hosting opportunities.
This position will collaborate with applicable stakeholders and leadership to develop and ensure reliable, performant, tested, and secure IT infrastructures for client retention. This role requires attention to detail, proactive management, and coaching of resources to drive efficiency to continuously improve the company.
Hosting - Manage Azure IAAS hosting for 160+ servers and 20+ clients
- Manage automation of Azure Infrastructure Deployments
- Azure Maintenance and monitoring
- Pre-sales support
- Staying current on Security Threats
- Report Monthly Billing
- Research and implement new SAAS, PAAS, and IAAS opportunities to further performance, reliability, security, and profit
- Provide 24/7 support on a rotating basis
Deployments and Support - Initial Environment Install for new clients (both Azure and on-premise implementations)
- Manage Project Deployments for existing clients
- Provide/Manage technical "tier 3" client support to implementation and support teams
- Assist and manage client on-premise server migrations/upgrades as requested through support
- Manage and perform data refreshes requested through support
- Facilitate technical assistance as needed with other teams
Who you are - BS degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of overall IT experience
- 3+ years' experience with Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) services and solutions, preferably in AWS and/or Azure
- Experience leading other Technology resources
- Strong scripting capabilities (Bash, Python, Ruby, PowerShell)
- Strong organizational, task, and project management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work across diverse technical and non-technical teams
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced understanding of infrastructure technologies - Server (Linux, MS Windows), data store (MySQL), network, storage, security, and management technologies
- Experience with IT transformation - data center consolidations and migration
- ITIL (foundational level, but exposure to more detail than foundation is often necessary)
